The VAM Fundamental Emerging Markets Equity Fund is managed by Alquity Investment Management. The Fund has been designed by the Portfolio Manager to systematically capture excess returns while managing downside risk. The Portfolio Manager believes long-term alpha in Emerging Markets comes from disciplined stock selection, informed by both bottom-up fundamentals and a robust top-down macro framework. The VAM Fundamental Emerging Markets Equity Fund targets stock-specific alpha across the market cycle, while integrating environmental and social risk considerations to avoid unsustainable corporate models.

Sudin Poddar

Sudin Poddar brings over 17 years of experience investing in international and emerging market equities, launching his career in 2007. He has served as a manager on the Emerging Market strategy since 2012. Previously, Sudin spent a decade at Credit Suisse, where he also co-managed a Global Small Cap fund and an Emerging Market Small Cap fund. During his tenure at Credit Suisse, he was instrumental in developing a proprietary systematic investment screening framework grounded in the corporate lifecycle concept – a methodology that remains central to the Emerging Market strategy’s investment process. Sudin holds an MBA from Indiana University, Bloomington, and is a CFA charterholder.
